Reminders:
School photos retakes were originally scheduled to happen on October 17 & 18 have been rescheduled to November 2 & 3. If you would like your child to have photo retakes, please email your child's teacher to let them know. Class Photos will also happen on the November 2 for all classes with the exception of the Tuesday/Thursday Kindergarten group whose class photo will be taken on November 3. Class photos are tomorrow.
Dalhousie students will have the opportunity to participate in a 6-day dance residency at school. Sound Kreations will be coming to dance with the students on November 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, and 22. Our students will be participating in a program called CubaNYC where a Spanish speaking instructor will focus on teaching the students hip hop and Latin street dance moves. The cost of this residency will be $7.26 per student which can be paid through your MYCBE account. This fee is in the process of being posted and you should see it in the next couple of weeks. We are excited to get our groove on, ask your child to see the moves they learned at school.
Learning:
- In science today we started an experiment involving temperature-taking.
- In Social studies we have been talking about our community
- In math this week we have done daily math and practicing our numbers
- In English we have continued reading and writing about a prompt
- In Spanish we are practicing group reading and describing our scarecrow
- In Gym we started skipping rope
