¡Hola familias!
This week students got back into the routines that we learned in the last year. We also learned some procedures around our new literacy program as well as daily math.
- In math we continued with double digit addition with regrouping.
- In science we completed an experiment early on in the week, about the stability of materials to contain water. The students were given a leaky cup and they had to fix the leak using different materials. We have also reviewed the learnings from the liquids unit and will be doing a quiz next week.
- In gym we played tic tac toe with bean bags and hula hoops. Next week we will have an Omnikin ball in will be doing different activities with them.
- In English we wrote and edited our writing on what we did on our break, and some of the students wrote lists of goals for the year.
- In Spanish we practiced reading and practiced vocabulary through playing hangman.
Please remember to send cereal boxes as we will be needing them next week for Spanish. Please return any overdue library books next week. Library day is Tuesday.
